Patricia A. Hindle (Hanley), 69, of Milton Avenue died Monday at Harborside Pawtuxet Village after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of James W. Hindle.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Luke J. and Mary (Finneran) Hanley, she had been a Cranston resident for 40 years. Mrs. Hindle was the chief of administrative affairs at the RI Department of Labor for 28 years before retiring in 2003. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves 3 sons, James L. Hindle of Cranston, John J. Hindle and his wife Kathy of Johnston, and Joseph P. Hindle and his wife Kim of East Greenwich. 2 sisters, Barbara Crawford and her husband Henry of Cranston; Lillian Coffey and her husband Ronald of Narragansett. She was the loving grandmother of Michelle, Christopher, Rachael, and Erica Hindle. She was a dedicated wife, wonderful mother, and a special person who will be missed every day by those who knew her.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Paul Church, 1 St. Paul Place, Edgewood at 10 AM. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the St. Paul Church Memorial Fund 1 St. Paul Place Edegewood, RI 02905 or Beacon Hospice 1 Catamore Blvd. East Providence RI 02914 will be appreciated. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
