<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://trainorfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/88_115567.jpg" alt="Michael P. Friel" />Michael P. Friel, 62, of Tucker Avenue died Monday at his home.

Born in Providence, a son of the late James E. and Eileen M. (Kavanagh) Friel, he had lived in Warwick for most of his life before moving to Cranston 14 years ago.  Mr. Friel was a teacher and director of the Computer Department at CCRI for 15 years before retiring in 1997.  He was a member of the Warwick Firefighters Association.

He leaves a loving companion, Adrienne M. Sorrell of Cranston; 2 sons, Christopher E. Friel of Warwick and Scott M. Friel of Hudson, OH; a daughter, Kerry E. Mueller of Warwick and 5 grandchildren.  He was the brother of James E. Friel of Coventry, Robert H. Friel, Paul J. Friel both of Warwick and Patrick J. Friel of North Providence.

His funeral will be Thursday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue, Warwick at 10 AM.  Calling Hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.  Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Alice (Comstock) Walsh, she had been a Scituate resident for the past 14 years previously residing in Warwick.  Mrs. Palmieri was a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Elizabeth Home for 30 years before retiring in 2002.

She leaves a daughter, Donna J. Ortiz of Warwick; a son, David M. Palmieri, of Scituate and a brother, John Walsh of Scituate; 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM in the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.  Calling hours Friday 4-7 PM.  Burial will be private.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://trainorfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/88_115178.jpg" alt="Virginia M. Hanrahan" />Virginia M. Hanrahan (Brown), 79, of East Greenwich Avenue died Monday at St. Anne Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Gerald C. Hanrahan.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Bernard E. and Gladys M. (McHugh)Brown, she was a West Warwick resident for the past six years and previously resided in Cranston.  She also enjoyed many winters in Vero Beach, FL.  Mrs. Hanrahan was a secretary for the Providence School Department for 20 years retiring in 1988.  An avid golfer, she was a longtime member of the North Kingstown Golf Club.  She enjoyed travel, Bridge and time with friends and family.  Ginny was an active volunteer, notably at St. Elizabeth Home and Kent Hospital.

She is survived by 1 son, Gerald C. Hanrahan, Jr. of Duxbury, MA; 2 daughters, Maureen Brown of Chepachet and Gayle A. Hanrahan-Sollecito of Swansea, MA; 6 grandchildren.  She was the sister of Eugene Brown of CT and the late Paul, Donald, and Vincent Brown.

Her funeral will be Friday at 9 Am from the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road Warwick at 10 AM.  Calling Hours Thursday 4-8 PM.  Burial will be in Saint. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://trainorfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/88_115209.jpg" alt="Donald E. Sjogren" />Donald E. Sjogren, 67, of Van Buren St. died Monday at home surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Vida L. (Sellers) Sjogren.

Born in Warwick a son of the late Carl H. and Mildred M. (Richardson) Sjogren, he was a lifelong resident of Warwick.  Mr. Sjogren was a registered nurse at the Eleanor Slater Hospital for 18 years before retiring in 1997 and proudly served as a City of Warwick firefighter for 14 years retiring in 1982. A lifelong member of the Lakewood Baptist Church, he served as a deacon and was the chairman of the property committee for many years.

Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons, David E. Sjogren of West Warwick, Steven C. Sjogren and Kristofer M. Sjogren both of Warwick; a daughter, Merridythe M. Rogers of East Greenwich, a stepdaughter, Deatrice M. Ramos of Cranston, a stepson, Dean Ramos of Pittsfield, MA; a brother, Ronald C. Sjogren of Warwick and 12 grandchildren.

His funeral will be Saturday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick .  Funeral Service in Lakewoood Baptist Church, 255 Atlantic Avenue, Warwick at 10 AM.  Calling Hours Friday 4-7 PM.  Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://trainorfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/88_115031.jpg" alt="Charles E. Kelly, Jr." />Kelly, Jr. Charles E., 71, of Ideal Court died Sunday at Kent Hospital.  He was the husband of Jane M. (Gavigan) Kelly.

Born in Providence a son of the late Charles E. and Nora (McMahon) Kelly, he had lived in East Greenwich for 46 years.  Mr. Kelly was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Providence for 30 years before retiring in 1998.  Mr. Kelly was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College.  He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Kelly was a head coach in the East Greenwich Little League for over 15 years.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife, he leaves 2 sons, Charles E. Kelly III of East Greenwich, Christopher J. Kelly and his wife Carrie of Ramsey, NJ; 2 daughters, Lori A. D’Amato and her husband Lorenzo of East Greenwich; Lisa M. Coddington and her husband, Peter of Highland, MD; 5 beloved grandchildren. He was the brother-in-law of Marie Kelly of Coventry, John and Jo-Ann Egan of North Providence.   He was the brother of the late Raymond P. Kelly. Several Cherished nephews and nieces.

His funeral will be Wednesday at 8:45 Am from the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third Street, East Greenwich at 10 AM.  Calling Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.  Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Dennis J. and Kathleen A. (McLaughlin) Geoghegan, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 40 years.  Mr. Geoghegan was a maintenance worker at Goodwill Industries for the past 20 years.

He leaves a sister, Sheila M. Sweeney and her husband Robert of Warwick; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.  He was the brother of the late John Geoghegan.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://trainorfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/88_113884.jpg" alt="Dorothy A. Taylor" />Dorothy A. Taylor, 95, of Pontiac Avenue died Thursday at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William and Annie (Ward) Taylor, she had been a Cranston resident for the past forty five years.  Miss Taylor was the senior clerk typist at the RI Registry of Motor Vehicles for thirty three years before retiring in 1983. She was a graduate of St. Mary Seminary Bay View in 1935 and Bryant College in 1938. Miss Taylor was a member of AFSCME Chapter 94 of RI, the Hamilton House in Providence and was a devoted communicant of St. Matthew Church. She enjoyed traveling.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her family and friends whom she referred to as her “many Angels watching over her.  She will be remembered for cute little laugh, enthusiasm for life and positive attitude,

She leaves three cousins, Joe Crosby and his wife Debra of Cranston, Deborah Parker of Lake Worth, FL; John Burrows and his wife Kathy of Newport.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Redmond F. and Margaret M. (Fogarty) Kelly, she had been a Warwick resident before moving to Coventry in 2005.  Mrs. Murray was a homemaker.  A graduate of St. Xavier Academy and URI, she was a member of the the World Apostolate of Fatima.

Besides her husband, she leaves 3 daughters, Sheila A. Connelly and her husband Kenneth of Somerset, NJ, Colleen R. Bolton and her husband, John of Cranston, and Erin F. Murray of Warwick; a son, John Redmond Murray and his wife Marcelline of Tiverton; seven grandchildren, Bryan Murray, Matthew and Dominic Bolton, Mary and Kathleen Connelly, Devin and Patrick Murray; a brother, John R. Kelly of Orange, CA; a sister, Sheila K. Ebbett of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late J. Linus and Mary E. (Perry) Gaudet.
Mr. Gaudet was a carpenter for the Dimeo Construction Company before retiring.
He was a WWII Coast Guard Veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He leaves one sister, M. Anita Ferns of Cranston; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gaudet of Providence, several nephews and nieces.  He was the brother of the late J. Ernest Gaudet, Henry P. Gaudet and Joseph G. Gaudet.

His funeral will be Monday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Ann Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10 AM. Her funeral will be private.  Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
