History

Our Family Serving Yours Since 1919

Our family owned and operated funeral home was founded by Frank P. Trainor in 1919. Originally established in the south side of Providence, Mr. Trainor served generations of families from Saint Michael's Church and the surrounding community until his passing in 1969.

Frank was followed by his son Thomas F. Trainor who has spent his life in funeral service and has been a licensed funeral director for fifty years. In 1978, Thomas opened a second funeral home on Warwick Avenue to accommodate families who had moved to the suburbs over the years. Thomas' son, Michael J. Trainor joined the staff in 1988. A graduate of Fairfield University and the New England Institute at Mt. Ida College, he currently operates the funeral home with his father.

With sincere dedication to our services, we strive to lessen the difficulty of a loved one’s death as much as possible. We consider our guidance in the details and arrangements of the funeral rites as a sacred trust. Our mission is to provide thoughtful and compassionate service with dignity and respect. Responding to each family’s needs as if they were our own, we are committed to providing your family the guidance and care necessary to help you facilitate the services you desire at the time of death or while preplanning.
